The Dallas Group was established in 1989 as a spin-off of Reagent Chemical, a specialty chemical company, established in 1956. We are the world's premier producer of adsorbent synthetic magnesium silicate, marketed under the name MAGNESOL^® KFC. We are also the only U.S.-based manufacturers of ammonium chloride, which is sold and marketed worldwide. Our products are widely used in food, chemical, and pharmaceutical purification applications.

Mr. Robert Dallas, Chairman, established three manufacturing locations in Jeffersonville, Indiana; Muscatine, Iowa; and Texas City, Texas, which produce synthetic magnesium silicate and ammonium chloride.

Since 1973, we have been producing MAGNESOL^® KFC Filter Powder for the filtration of edible oils in the foodservice industry. We are currently the largest supplier of filter powder / media to the fast food industry in the United States and the international market.

MAGNESOL^® KFC is packaged via private label exclusively for many of these accounts, based on equipment needs. A general market product is available for smaller accounts.

MAGNESOL^® KFC is a safe, pure white, FDA & USDA-approved adsorbent filter powder that contains no crystalline silica. It is a food grade chemical. MAGNESOL^® KFC removes both solid and dissolved impurities from used edible oils, which will extend the usable life of the oil and maintain a more consistent quality fried product.

We are the only U.S. based manufacturer of ammonium chloride that is sold and marketed worldwide. Its largest application is cattle feed.

In addition to a domestic sales staff of sixteen and two international, we have a sales staff of three for the industrial sales of magnesium silicate (Dalsorb®) to large commercial and industrial fryers of snack foods, food processing, etc. Also, we maintain a full laboratory facility with a staff of chemists who perform ongoing research and development of new products. The Dallas Group exports to more than forty countries worldwide, either direct to major customers or through appointed distributors or agents.
